Germantown

Named for the German immigrants that settled here in the mid-19th century, Germantown lays claim to the title of “Nashville’s first suburb”. Characterized by a distinct array of architectural styles ranging from 1830 to the present day.

 

One of the biggest draws to this neighborhood is the annual Oktoberfest celebration, which attracts around 200,000 people each year for beer-fueled festivities. Packed with almost two centuries worth of history, this area is thriving with a diverse zoning mix of classic Victorian-style single-family homes, duplexes, modern townhouses, trendy low-rises, quaint storefronts, and converted industrial spaces.
